Pete Jiadong Qiang

Pete Jiadong Qiang is an artist trained in architecture at Architectural Association School of Architecture, London, UK (ARB/RIBA Part 1 and Part 2). His work focuses on the specific investigation between architectural and pictorial space in terms of a new ideal of hyperisation and gamification.


His diverse works range from architectural drawings, paintings, moving images to photogrammetry, 3D scan, AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) paintings that forms an idiosyncratic research methodology between the physical and digital spheres. The research output is conceptualised as raw materials for ultimate development of 360° spherical moving paintings. 


Architectural and Digital Material Cultural Probe (ADMCP) is the current project that by infusing hybrid art and architectural approaches to create a hyperactive pictorial space struggling between the digital and physical phenomenon, with constant interrogation of hyperisation and gamification in reference to its architectural, digital, anthropological and material cultural significance.
